why i need to know? Why does little ceasers pizza always fail in the new york area but is popular in california?
It's very simple... real pizza in NY is great and pizza in CA sucks. The only reason pizza chains like Dominos and Pizza Hut survive in NY is because they deliver late and pump television ads non-stop. I don't think the Little Ceasers near me even delivered. Why does little ceasers pizza always fail in the new york area but is popular in california?
New York and the surrounding area is known for small pizza shops where the pies are made by hand using very fresh ingredients. The people behind the counter are the sons and grandsons of Italian and Greek immigrants, who have been making pizza and other food all their life.
Compare that to a large chain, where the pizza is made by pimply-faced teens using ingredients mandated by the corporate owner following recipes (more like industrial-processes) that allow no customization.
Which would YOU prefer to eat?Why does little ceasers pizza always fail in the new york area but is popular in california?
There is probably no better answer than to simply say there is a differentiation in the pace of life and the style of living. While Californians live a more relaxed and casual life, New Yorkers (if you are referring to NYC) live at a more fast paced and just 'different' way of life. Lets say for example you had a dream to be a surfer...you would go to the coasts of CA to achieve that most likely. But then on the other hand, you wanted to be a culinary artist with a 5 star restaurant. While you could go to any large city in America, New York city is renown for their culinary perfection. There are different places for different things. Some people choose to live in the city, some the country...same concept. I guess the easiest way to put it would just be that there is more of a need for a casual pizza pick up restaurant in laid back Cali, than in fast paced New York. Why does little ceasers pizza always fail in the new york area but is popular in california?
Adding to the other great answers that are posted here, I can guarantee you that you can blindfold any one of us, plug up our noses and do whatever else you like. Each one of us would be able to tell the difference between a "real" slice of pizza from any of the tiniest little shops around the city from anything that any of the franchises can cook up. The best of any of them, Papa Johns, Dominos, Pizza Hut, whatever you like does not hold a candle up to the greasiest, dirtiest and saddest pizza shop in New York. There is no comparison.
