Where are you planning on opening this resturaunt?Would you eat here? Sample Menu included!?
EVerything on the munue sounds really good.
But i'd go with the dad's steak dinner. grilled steak with a garlic or plain mashed or baked potato, and asparagus
Maybe a Delivery service would be good

Best of luck to you %26amp; yours In these trying timesWould you eat here? Sample Menu included!?
It all sounds so good! Do you deliver? To my house tonight? Surprise me! But bring creme brule for dessert!
Great luck with your business!
i would totaly eat there lol. i love chicken and fish, and pretty much everything on ur menu.Would you eat here? Sample Menu included!?
Hi
Yes I would but try to make the menu a little shorter by combining same food on one line.
yum..yum...yum..!!! loveli..
Yeah!! That Sounds Delicious!!!!!!Go for it!
This place sounds really good.
Good luck, maybe we will one day see this
restaurant all over the world,
Yes, I would. It sounds good.
Looks good
sounds yummy
My mouth is watering. Yum!
yes nice sized menu i would try it
oops..i'm a veggie, so little choices for me here...!
so i'll just have the all veggie soup..
Looks incredibly delicious. I would totally and completely eat there. Might I make a suggestion as to a menu item? Shepherds Pie is a HUGE family dish that I have seen several upper-scale restaurants serve. Might make a good addition to your already-fantastic menu. Good luck!
This all sounds so good. I like how you included sweet potato fries. The only question I would have is whether or not you have a kid's menu. People like to go places where the kids can get something special just for them. Favorite kid choices might include something like burgers and curly fries, pizza slices, mac and cheese, spaghetti, tacos, hot dog, grilled cheese. Classic kiddie fare. THey always like something to do while waiting too. Maybe coloring sheet and crayons or a puzzle or word game on a printed sheet. Keeps them busy! Good luck with your new venture.

The Dog Whisperer?
Why does it seem like everyone here is suddenly promoting Ceaser Millan's training methods?
Millan uses a very old form of dog training- positive punishment. He is giving the dog something it does not like (IE: taping, alpha rolls, etc. etc.).
In all honesty, his methods are not only out of date, but also downright dangerous. I've seen little old ladies trying to give their giant breed dogs an alpha roll because it playfully nipped at the maltese it was playing with. Are you people kidding? The answer to every problem is NOT "your dog is being dominant". The only real pack leader replacement is another dog! YES you can be a part of your dog's pack. YES you can communicate with your dog. But don't fool yourself into thinking that you can give your dog "alpha rolls" every fifteen seconds and expect it to have any self-respect.
What you see on camera and what really happens are two COMPLETELY different things.
So, what method of training do you use?|||The power of TV and celebrity. It's a shame really. Not only are his methods outdated but the whole concept of pack hierarchy was based on studies of captive wolves, which as it turns out do not behave like wild wolves.
I also think that Cesar's technique fit in well with the way westerners think of relationships in general. Someone's on top and someone isn't, someone is the leader and someone is the follower. Not that that isn't true in some cases but to base relationships with an entire species on this foundation means that people see dogs' behaviors as challenges rather than what they most likely are, patterned reactions to a certain set of stimuli or just basic doggie opportunism with no agenda or challenge involved.
So while the guy has good instincts and can handle dogs his training methods and worse, his diagnosis of problems, provide more reasons for people to hurt and scare their dogs. And yes, scaring a dog can change its behavior, so people see that, not the underlying body language that shouts, I'm doing what you want, but I'd rather run and hide! Dogs aren't thinking when they're afraid and so changes in behavior will not likely 'stick' when the pressure is taken off of them.
I have heard that he's making some changes and has actually encourages people to books by trainers like Jean Donaldson and Patricia McConnel, Ian Dunbar, etc.
www.fearfuldogs.com|||....Thus, the disclaimer at the bottom of the screen at the beginning of every episode.
I use his method, and have never had better trained dogs (5 of them). My family is EXTREMELY dog-centric and we are very tuned into our animals, and can see that our approach is working. People on walks comment on how well-behaved and happy our dogs look.|||His concept is completely sound.
His methods are crude.
It's a TV show for masses.
IMHO, better than nothing for many dog "owners"|||I have never seen him alpha roll a dog.. He makes them lay on their side til they forget about what they were worked up over.. He gives them a slight tap in the rear w/ his foot to get their attention.. Break their focus on what ever it is that has their attention.
There are many things that he does that are great.. There are things he does that he shouldn't be showing on tv, and making people think that just anyone can do that..
Just like any trainer out there.. there are good things and there are things that not everyone would agree with or not everyone should practice.. He has helped alot of people understand their dogs more.. Just the mere fact that he tells you that DOGS ARE DOGS is a benefit and a value..
He has his place... just like everything else.|||I use Cesar's methods and not only do I rule my 4 dogs my 5 cats do also.|||I agree with the first answer, while I personally have never used alpha rolls, nor do I promote them specifically, Cesar's approach to training is right on the money. You CAN be the leader of your family's pack, and there are different ways to get there, but it definitely creates a more harmonious living situation and more trainable dogs. I don't believe anything he does endangers himself or the dogs, and he DOES say that he doesn't suggest you try any of that stuff at home. He also doesn't ever say that every problem is related to the dog being dominant; just as often the dog is not dominant, but is fearful because nobody else is showing dominance either, and it doesn't know who to follow.
Everybody is always going to have their own take on Cesar, but personally, I think he's a genius, and I'd love to meet him someday.|||I treat them with respect and firmly tell them no when they do something they should not. When they do something good i pet them and give them a treat. After a month or so they start to act in the manner you wish with out and positive or negative reinforcement.|||We watch the Dog Whisperer over here and have some of the dvds too. It has helped us quite a bit. I cant use some of his techniques because they are too harsh for my sensitive big guy but people need to be smart enough to pick and choose methods that seem to suit their dog's needs. A lot of his philosophies have really helped us over here and we do have a beautifully behaved English Mastiff. I think it is more important for dog owners to realize that there is probably not one method that will apply to their dog but many in combination.|||well I like the dog whisperer because I learn alot about different dog breeds. And I like SOME things he says, like to use more exercise to fix any behavioral problems, thats simple and I found it worked with mine..and better than any thing harsh or using drugs to calm the dog down or something.
I did try that dog roll thing when my puppy was in that puppy biting stage, and it was NOT a good idea definately. She saw that as just more struggling. i think only professional dog trainers should do the puppy roll thing. or in some cases if you have to break up a dog fight?
One more thing I like about the dog whisperer is he says dogs live in the present, i found that to be true and something helpful to remember.
But yeah I agree his methods arent for every dog or dog owner, and i like positive reinforcement better.
Whoops one more thing i learned and liked about dog whisperer is watching for clues of bad behavior/fixation and stopping it before something bad happens.
but yeah when i see someone answer a question with Just "watch dog whisperer" thats kind of annoying|||Although his methods may be out of date, they certainly do work. I totally disagree with you on your idea of the only real pack leader replacement is another dog. When you decide to adopt or purchase a pet, you are assuming responsibility on that animal, thus becoming it's caregiver. You are the one that has to train it to listen to you and follow your commands. You provide food for your pet, provide shelter, and water. I believe that in the wild this is what the alpha or pack leader also does. Hence, you are the alpha pack leader as your pet depends on you to provide all his needs. As for the comment on giving your dog "alpha rolls" every 15 secs., this shouldn't be necessary if you have a dog who is well trained, and loyal to you. Everyone has their own opinions of things, and I respect your opinions on Mr. Millan, however, don't try and push your believes off on others.|||While I don't completely agree with some of his methods, being 'top dog' in my house has gotten me out of some pretty sticky situations.
I have brought dogs into my house (rescues) and put them in their place by standing over them and ignoring them until they came to me for attention.
I can also back down my dogs by walking up to them and using a certain tone of voice w/o ever touching them.
One of my dogs, will not roll over on command b/c he is trying to maintain some sort of dignity, but the other does it almost immediately (especially if there is food involved).
Honestly, I am the pack leader, and I am not afraid to reassert this leadership roll if I have to!|||i agree with u. people here say "call cesar millan he will come and help u" for every training problem. his methods r very outdated. i dont use them. never have never will. i use my own methods of training my dogs. i figure out ways of training my dogs. and if i am having problems i call a trainer IN MY AREA that i can actually contact and talk to about my problems. sure some people think that watching the show is going to help them with their problems but in the end nothing beats a trainer u can go see for urself and meet in person that will actually help u|||I don't use his method for training, since it isn't a training method. I use it to modify behavior and it works if you actually "get" how to do it. I'm not on camera,,but it still works like magic, in almost not time at all. I am able to groom dogs now with no muzzle or fuss, when before they were impossible to give a good smooth haircut, and constantly snapped and bit. I never have to resort to laying them down, and since they don't belong to me, I would never get physical. I only use the 'energy' part, and it is amazing how it works. My personal dogs had no issues with actual training, but now when I go in to feed, I don't have to rush in the gate so they won't rush out,,,and they sit down and wait for me to pour food. I don't really care about the camera parts, or how much money he's making, the fact that it works for me in convincing enough. I don't however believe that everyone can grasp what he's saying. Like maybe you. But for the people who understand, it really is working. To each their own.
As for actual training (sit, stay, heal etc) I use repetition, example and reward with affection . I don't use food, baby talk or treats, nor do I hit and smack or yell.|||I am very fortunate. My dog will wash the car if there is a Milk Bone in it for him!
I have always used the repetitive approach for sit, stay, settle, wait - the basic commands. I have also used this for teaching "get the ball", "Where's your baby", and things like that. Work with them about 10 minutes a day, and after a few days, they know what you want. As soon as they get one command down, add another. Then, be sure you "review" every so often. I have trained many dogs this way, except for one Jack Russell Terrier that trained me!!!!|||I follow Cesar Millan, I respect his experience and intellegence. I also realize what he accomplishes isn't done in the 15 minute TV segment. Exercise, disipline then affection, is not a horrible thing to keep in mind when dealing with an ambitious animal. Too many people say well the yard is fenced in why should I walk the dog? And they forget they are at work all day, while the poor dog is in the crate or kennel. Every dog needs exercise everyday, companionship with the owner while on that walk. Benefit both. Cesar on TV is great, people seeing this will learn more than if no trainer was on TV.|||Just because a method is older does NOT mean that it isn't effective. I watch Dog Whisperer every day and have yet to see him preform an "alpha roll" on any dog. What I have seen is an imitation of what another dog would do and that it does work. There is no "perfect" method that will work for every dog or trainer. The disclaimer is there specifically to prevent untrained misinformed people from attempting to use the method and causing more harm than good. I use an adaptation of his method with my boy and have seen improvements. I have a ton of respect for Cesar Millan because he not only promotes RESPONSIBLE ownership, he also encourages people to let their dog be dogs. IMHO, you should try actually watching instead of surfing the show. As for what method I use, I use my own. I take information that I find useful and/or helpful and mesh them into a program that works for me/my dog.
add: BTW, since I'm seeing many comments that seem to show a lack of understanding as to what an "alpha roll" actually is.... An "alpha roll" is when you forcibly put a dog onto it's back and hold it there by the chest or neck. It is used by a dominant canine as a method of LAST RESORT. Alpha rolling shouldn't be done because your dog has problems, it's useful as a guide for figuring out a puppies dominance/submission levels and for little else. Cesar uses stiffened fingers in a bite pattern to administer a firm but harmless touch. It works to get a dog to lose focus on what it's doing and refocus on you. They are two VERY different things.|||I watched him and took from him some points of training to help me out...I don't follow any one method 100% I do what works for us. I have pinned my rottie down when she was younger, just cradled her to get her to submit to me since she was being pretty darn bad in puppy hood and showing her own stubborn side...she is a very submissive dog now at age 2 maybe that helped maybe it didn't, but I would not ever recommend someone with a large dog trying this out of the blue to make them submit..large dogs are fairly strong so if they feel scared they are likely to react very negatively and someone is going to get hurt!. I have also used the tap the toe into the uptuck of the dog when walking to get her attention when calling her or giving a yank on the leash did nothing, it get's her attention, it's not being rough and she has learned to now listen to a stern no where before she was in crazy hyper mode cause of cars or the horses next door and you couldn't break that concentration without some sort of contact. So I think he has some good ways but then again he is a professional and some one who has no real idea just what they see on tv going to try something drastic with a dog will probably do more harm than good. The whole pack thing is over rated too...some dogs do feel like they are more the boss but I think the whole human/dog pack is more of a novelty people like to use to explain every bad behavior their dog shows. Sorry to ramble on so long..just my thoughts.|||I think people only fucus on the fact that he alpha rolls, and nothing else.
Yes, his methods are old, but they are sound. He does things other than rolls, and has helped many a person walk their dog. His advice about energy and your dog is great too. Just because you see him roll some dogs on tv doesn't mean that is all he does, i have seen him achieve total submission without even laying a finger on a dog.
I alpha roll my dogs, frequently, but i also know that that isn't needed for every dog, nor all the time. I have 5 dogs, one gets rolled all the time, another never has to because just giving her the look does it. He never says his physical techniques are right for every dog, and says that if you aren't absolutely sure you can do the roll, to not even try.He mostly promotes calm-assertive leadership, which is right for every dog.|||His methods may be old, but I wouldn't say they are entirely out of date. I don't agree with everything he does, but chances are you will never find any trainer that you do agree with all their methods or ideas. I usually take bits and pieces from several different trainers that I like, and therein lies my only real problem with Cesar Milan - He uses the same method on EVERY dog, regardless of what the problem is.
The thing I do like about him is he helps the general public understand pack mentality and that you shouldn't baby a dog. I think that right there is invaluable.
Also, as DP said, I have never actually seen him alpha roll a dog, I have on many occasions seen him roll a dog on their side, which has more of a calming affect rather than the whole "Alpha roll" thing. Rolling them on their side, provided you are not dealing with a dangerous dog or that you know what you are doing, allows the dog to calm down and refocus their attention on something else.
I happen to disagree with you entirely that a person cannot take over the alpha role. In a dog's mind, their people are their pack, the dominant one will naturally rise to the alpha position, whether it is a dog or a human.
There are times that I think what he is doing is totally ridiculous, but he does some great things too. Anyone that can have that many dogs under complete control is not a complete idiot and must be doing something right.|||Quote: there's only 1 thing that 2 dog trainers can agree on, and that the other one is wrong.
Every person has an idea about how to train a dog. EVERY person. There is some validity in just about every technique out there. There's validity in positive reinforcement, there's validity in negative reinforcement - it's all about what you are comfortable with as the owner. If you don't buy into a training technique, your dog will totally see through it and it will be ineffective.
Many people comment on his disclaimer stating that makes his methods unsound or bad. I have season 1 and 2 and the National Geographic channel. I watch his shows. Sure, they are edited. Sure there are some things he does that I would never do. But any good trainer - and responsible trainer would tell you not to sinply try these things at home - that if you are having behaviourial issues you should seek out a trainer to guide you in person.
Would you learn to drive simply by watching a video? No - you'd wreck your car. People that simply watch his show and then try and reproduce what he is doing are in for a wake-up call a lot of times - it just won't work as well! You don't have experience and you don't have someone standing there to help when things go wrong. So watch the show -take what you can, use it, leave what you don't like or don't agree with - but most importantly, if you are having issues with your dog that is beyond your level of expertise - find a trainer who suscribes to whatever methods you are comfortable with! :)|||I to don't think i have ever seen him alpha roll a dog..i have seen him tell others not to...on one show it was dogs in the office. some turned their dog over and cesar asked them not to. the only dog he maybe did this to was the jino. that was very aggresive.
I like cesar. there are a few things i learned.and so i don't aggree with..and like everyone said there is no way that i agree with all trainers i have read on or seen on tv. I don't like clicker training. so i don't use it. I use a choke chain on my dogs and for the more extreme i have used a prong. they are not cruel when used right. nor is a tap or a touch. If you have never worked with dogs that get so focused on one thing yelling does nothing but annoy the nieghbors.
he lets a dog be a dog which few people do and yes it is a human problem. and there is a reason why they put that warning at the bottom...he does know what he is talking about be even he gets bit some times.
however for most major problems watch the dog whispher is a horrid answer. when most people can not read a dog. or think something is aggressive when its not.|||I use positive reinforcement training method, we utilize clicker training to mark behaviors we want.
Now, that's not to say that I don't correct my dog, as I most certainly do. In obedience training, it is a gentle correction and all that I really need. In a behavior issue, it is somewhat harsh, but needs to be to get the point across. In herding training, corrections are very harsh. When you have a dog that has her eye on the sheep, sometimes it requires a harsh correction to get them to refocus on you, the handler.
It's funny, because with obedience training, harsh corrections shut my dog down, entirely. She won't work. But with herding, and really harsh corrections, it does not phase her one bit. There is a huge difference between general obedience training and training in an area a dog has a natural instinct for.|||It's one of many points of views, in my opinion, and something to be taken with a grain of salt. I think to take his word as law is drastically oversimplifying, not to mention dangerous.
Millan uses a very old form of dog training- positive punishment. He is giving the dog something it does not like (IE: taping, alpha rolls, etc. etc.).

Diet food help stuffs?
Ok im on a diet and i think im eating too much.
Yesterday this is what i ate(think i had waay too much)
first i had an hour and 10 minutes basketball game for exercise.next i had a fruit plate which had 2 banannas, 1 apple and 68 slices of watermelon. next i had a ceaser sallad from a pizza place. neeext i had a japaneese food plate of chicken teriyaki and a plate of fried rice..and latly i had a little carrot and ranch dressing packet wwith a water bottle. i think i over did myselfDiet food help stuffs?
Firstly, good job on exercising, but I would include some weight training into that as well. Now for your meals, you definitely had more fruit than you need but there's nothing wrong with that. However, next time eat the fruit plate before the bball game. The caesar salad from the pizza place was probably a bad idea because it was most likely loaded with calories, try making your own salads and that way you will have more control over what goes in it including the dressing. The Japanese plate was also something that you should have not eaten on a diet.
Remember, you have to take in less calories than you burn in order to lose weight. Drink alot more water and don't forget about those veggies. Instead of 3 big meals, 5-6 smaller meals! Good Luck.

Need help on dog training, need really dog trainers!?
I'm a dog trainer for petco. I have a kelpie mix in my class. (if you dont know what a kelpie is please look it up and read about the breed) I have readed up on them and I know that they are not good family dogs. He is ok at the first part of class and in the middle is when he start to change. He becomes aggressive he stop listening to me or any other women around. He bits the female ower, her two little girls, and me. I dont let any of the other owners touch when he get in to that werid change. I dont want them get hurt. I have noticed that the male owner is mean. The dog show sign of being scared around him. I have got on to him about hitting the dog when it didnt minded him. I'm to the point of just giving up on the dog but most the family. I know I shouldnt give up and I dont want. I tell them to do one thing and the dad does the other. So what do I do? How do I get this dog to stop bitting?
I hate shock collar and I had people tell me to do what Ceaser Milan does. I know there are people that love him but Im sorry, Im not a big fan. Plus I dont think you should ever lay a hand on a dog to train them.Need help on dog training, need really dog trainers!?
I'm a trainer for Petco too. Have you got a mentor in your store or district that you can call and ask for advice? Kelpies are herders so it could be that he's just "herding" his family, stress, or aggression. In any case, it sounds like you're uncomfortable working with this dog and his family because of the biting and the owner hitting him. Talk to your manager and tell him/her what's going on and suggest a dog behaviorist. If this dog has bitten you, it's probably time to send him to someone that can figure out why he's biting and then work from there.Need help on dog training, need really dog trainers!?
You are fighting a losing battle with the owner and the dog, If you can get the owner to comply the dog wont comply either. Try the ultra sound device for training the dog? Try the cattle prod for the owner.Need help on dog training, need really dog trainers!?
Different dogs need different training methods, If he is afraid and biting with the class, then no punishment. Have the people give him treats to say "Hey, people aren't that bad." And spend time with him to get him to trust you. If it is a dominance aggression, then I'm sorry but you need to use force to show the dog that it is not the boss, once he is submissive to you and others he will not dare to bite, because he is not the alpha of the pack. Don't beat the dog, but if he snaps dominantly then a good smack should be handed to him. Also, when he stares at you, stare back. Yes this is a challenge, and if you hold your ground, and he looks away, then you have him being submissive and he understands that his behavior and challenges aren't going to be tolerated. If you find yourself not being able to handle this, then do everyone a favor and research a more qualified trainer, or animal behaviorist for this family and refund their money.Need help on dog training, need really dog trainers!?
This whole situation is beyond both you AND the owners.
Either direct them to a professional, or urge them to give up this dog.
You are right about one thing, this is NOT a family pet.
Kelpies do not need shock collars. They need a figure of authority in their lives. They also need JOBS. A mom and dad with kids is not that.

So does everyone think this diet sounds okay? and am i getting enough nutrition? Is this diet good for a active teenage girl.?
Not enough calories, not enough protein, not enough dairy. You are underweight and need to gain about 10 lbs. Add at least one more serving of protein and two more servings of milk or milk products. That should also add 300 to 400 calories.

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and would like to hear of others experiences?
Hi, I'm 28 weeks pregnant and want to share how I feel.I am feeling anxious and worried about the baby. I worry if i don't feel the baby move something is wrong, I worry that something awful will happen such as baby dieing. I also wonder what my baby will look like. I worry because due to a heart condition I have, my baby will be born by ceaser at 34weeks, will she be ok? Sooooo many things!!! Has anyone else had these anxietys? I am so very much looking forward to meeting my little angel and wish i would stop worrying so much.I'm 28 weeks pregnant and would like to hear of others experiences?
I'm 28 weeks pregnant too and worried terribly the first 2 trimesters. My first pregnancy I had a miscarriage at 17 weeks due to an infection, so with this pregnancy I went to the ER 4 times so far! I went there a couple weeks ago because I thought my water broke and really I was just leaking pee! I worry if he's going to be healthy, if I'm going to be an okay mom, I worry from day to day if I'm in the heat too much, or if by not drinking more water that day somethings going to happen, or if I forget a prenatal vitamin if it will be a problem. Even though deep down I already know the answers to all these questions it is hard to just brush a concern aside especially for your own child, but worrying won't do anything but wear us down. My number 1 rule, if something doesn't feel right, get to a doctor. Don't worry what anyone else might think, just go. Your doctor wouldn't deliver your baby at 34 weeks unless it was safe and necessary. Babies have been born much earlier and been fine, yours will be too. Congratulations on your baby and just know that doctors are there if you're concerned!I'm 28 weeks pregnant and would like to hear of others experiences?
I am totally the same!!!! I look forward to my doctors appointments just so i can hear her heart beat. i am better now mind you but im 38 weeks now and feel her move all the time!!! Dont worry she will be absolutely fine!!! Good luck
Hey hun, worry is a big sin! Dont worry just have faith! i also worry! i think that stuff, to then i have to tel myself everything will be ok, as long as u look after urself and baby she will be fine! Stress, your baby is feeling too hey, so dont stress! Enjoy it :)I'm 28 weeks pregnant and would like to hear of others experiences?
I think we all worry about our unborn babies and trust me it doesn't stop once there born! Its hard to not think about the bad things that "can" happen but try just look at the good side of everything, don't worry about anything until it happens! I also wanted to know what my baby looked like, but once there born its so exciting to look at there beautiful little face and pick who they look like! Having your baby at 34 weeks is early and they will be in the NICU but the doctors will be prepared, good luck hun enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!
im also 28weeks and im the say way!! i worrie none stop!!! its normal to worrie about you child!! here or not!!! just hang in there only a few more weeks to go!!!I'm 28 weeks pregnant and would like to hear of others experiences?
Perfectly Normal for a mommy to be. I was the same. Talk to your Doctor or Midwife about your concerns and they will reassure you that everything is fine. This is only the beginning, you will always worry about your children. Good Luck...
I think every pregnant woman worries like crazy about the health of their baby. With my 1st I was worrying until the moment my son was happy %26amp; healthy in my arms. I'm sure your baby will be fine. Talk to your doctors. They will let you know if there is anything to worry about. Congrats on your soon-to-be arrival! :-)dcu center

How do animal breeders live with themselves?
http://monterey.craigslist.org/pet/13410鈥?/a>
So i was browsing craigslist and i came upon the article above. Its pretty depressing. I know they're just animals but come on. Were the higher beings on this planet shouldn't we be stopping things like this from happeneing. We kinda encourage it. I'm not saying any one is bad or anything. But theres gotta be some gray ground where we can minimalize this. Like mabye we can make animal credits so that every person can own up to a certain ammount of dogs, unless they are trained professionals like ceaser mylan. We can also make them read paperwork saying what a animal requires and then make them sign something saying they fully understand it. Then if they for any reason canot care for that animal have to pay some kind of fee. because its so easy to get a cute little puppy then 10 months down the line your going to college, or moving, or die. Then that living breathing dependent of yours has to move on and find a new home. Or worse go through that holocaust like experience described in the article above. Why cant we some how pay breeders not to do it. Or make a program to transition breeders from breeders to something else. mabye we can make a program that enables self employed breeders to get governement aid for a period of time untill they can get off it and get a real job.
I know im rambling but **** is this insane or what. I adopted my dog. not because i couldn't afford a bred dog but because i knew i was saving her life. Even if someone would've adopter her, hopefully they got one of the other. How do animal breeders live with themselves?
I breed both chinchillas and gerbils. What we do is we interview each person interested in one of our animals to make sure that they know how to care for them properly. Also, we don't breed for money. We breed because we like people being able to go and purchase a healthy animal for them to love. We also make an agreement that if anything happens so that they can't take care of them they return them to us. I don't know if that helps at all.How do animal breeders live with themselves?
people on craigslist are not always truthful. sometimes they give a story so people will feel sorry for the animal and come and take it from you. also, if you don't have a good story, people will delete your ad for no good reason. I tried to sell some cute cocker spaniel puppies through that web page (my mother bought a 3 year old female not knowing she was pregnant through craigslist) and people kept deleting the ad. never mind rearing puppies properly costs money, shots cost money, food costs money, plus you want to charge a little so they wind up in a good, caring home. I'm rambling too, but I hope this helps with your concerns.
there are some REPUTABLE breeders who breed solely for the betterment of the breed!
Pet stores and buyers are the real problem as you see here

if people didnt support the industry of puppy mills.. they wouldnt exist! How do animal breeders live with themselves?
I agree : ( Breeders just do not give a crap. It is really sad. I've volunteered at the animal shelter and it's sooo depressing. When I eventually go looking to adopt a dog, I'm looking for a big black dog! Maybe someone should start a special dog rescue for big black dogs. It's ridiculous the excuses people have for giving up their pets. But how can that kind of thing be changed? No matter what, you know there's going to be some dumbass out there who wants the cute little puppy in the petstore and later realizes how much work they are. It's too bad there isn't some kind of test for people who want to get a pet. If you're not a true animal lover, maybe a pet isn't for you. I know how much of a commitment pets are! One of my cockatiels needs 2 meds twice a day and massaging of his crop 2-3 times a day because of some kind of bacterial infection. How many regular people prolly wouldn't even have brought him into the vet, you know? What is wrong with people anyway? It's so sad. If we're so high and mighty and advanced, why can't we change the way things are? The average person does not give a crap! Now I'm babbling haha...
Not every breeder is a backyard one that doesn't give a crap. I'm looking at getting a breeder ferret from someone who will make me SIGN a contract saying that if I cannot take care of it that it goes STRAIGHT back to her. If I don't follow the contract I could be sued and the ferret will be given back to her if they find it.
Some do care about where their pets go. I would love to get a breeder ferret because I will probably have 2 more years with it than an average mill ferret. Some breeders actually give out quality animals to true pet owners.
BUT, the ones that are cruel, sick, and breed ALL these poor animals several times every year deserve to be fined and jailed- put them in a jail cell the size of the crate they locked their breeder dogs in. It's sad that there are people out there who think it's okay.
Granted- all my pets are from the pet store other than my cat who was a stray, but if there were more dogs available in my area that fit my lifestyle and the ferret shelter wasn't 5 hours away you'd bet they'd all be rescues. How do animal breeders live with themselves?
To the poster and animal lover, just to let you know it isn't the responsible, reputable breeders causing all of these problems. It is the so called breeders that don't give a dam and BYBers, and puppy mills/farms that have ruined it for all.
My husband and myself have been Standard Show Poodle Breeders for over 30 years now and have never had a puppy taken to a shelter, rescue or re homes. We did have one many years ago returned to us because of a child being allergic to it.
Being in this business we have seen puppies put to sleep and adult dogs also. The people breeding Maltese and Chihuahua's together should be the ones to go see that.
When we breed our dogs they have full through health checks and regular vet visits during the pregnancy. And we also have a list of potential buyers before we breed. And when we sell a puppy it is 100% registrable with AKC. and no other kennel club. The people buying come to us we show both parents together and give a box of paperwork, food, collar, and leash, a puppy blanket and new toys for puppy. We also provide a puppy carrier to be transported home in..
But these people are paying for quality dogs no something that will die before they get it home. But then of course when you are paying between $2,500.00 and $3,000.00 for a dog you expect something for your money.
We have show dogs all over the world,
So start b itching at the BYBers, the puppy mills/farms and all of those breeders that breed their dogs because they have nice butts.

What Have You and Your Kids Done This Weekend?
It has been raining ALL weekend here and my husband had to work both yesterday and today (never works weekends) - ALL DAY! Yesterday the kids and I, sorted through clothes and toys and baked and then drove down to the homeless shelter and delivered clothes/toys/books and some homemade goodies. We got home, did a few crafts then settled down for a movie. We then baked some more. Finally there was a break in the rain for about 10 minutes, so we quickly delivered homemade goodies to the closest neighbors. We then went to the mall to shop a little and had an early food court dinner (a very special treat! We almost never eat fast food!) The 4 year olds played on the indoor playground a bit as well. We then went to the grocery store - got s'mores stuff (again - we don't do this often!) and lit a fire on our indoor fireplace. The kids and I were hungry again, so we whipped up some chicken ceaser salads. By this time, it was bedtime (seems like it would be later, huh?) so the kids got ready for bed and down they went. Today, we woke up, got ready, had poodle pancakes and went to church (without daddy:( ) After church, we went to the craft store and got 4 small wood treasure chest type boxes. We went home and painted/decorated them. Even Bella (14) did it with us. Then we had a lunch of beef/veggie stir fry with apple slices. Now Bella is at a movie and the 4 year olds are napping, and the babies are contently playing. What a boring weekend! What Have You and Your Kids Done This Weekend?
i had a VERY boring weekend.
it consisted of me and my son(1yo) spending the most part of the weekend rugged up in bed with nasty ear infections, my partner went fishing on sunday(didn't catch a thing). while my son and i slept the washing machine/clothes dryer and dish washer were doing their thing, dinner was cooking in the crock pot and the telephone was of the hook so no one could interrupt our much needed sleep
What Have You and Your Kids Done This Weekend?
Aww,That was great what you did :).
Well, i had a 2 hour hockey game friday night from 7-9. My team won, then my family went out for a quick ice cream at carvel [yum!].
Saturday:
I went to my aunt's house for the day. Me and my little brother went, while the rest of the gang stayed home =].
Sunday: I had another hockey game from 9AM-11pm. I'm preparing for swimming practice that's in an hour. This is what i do all weekends :)
Usually my son goes to his dad's on weekends but he was away with work so I had my son for the weekend. On Friday night I took him out to get fish and chips, and we brought them home and snuggled up and watched TV, he went to bed about 9.30. Then on Saturday morning we went shopping to ASDA, then in the evening we went to my mum's house for a family meal. Today we've been tidying up our flat and making cakes. What Have You and Your Kids Done This Weekend?
I did absolutely nothing. I just sat here on the computer and on Yahoo! Answers. I live a relatively boring life.
I went down to Hollywood. I live in L.A.!What Have You and Your Kids Done This Weekend?
WOWWIE...What a weekend for you guys!!! Sounds FUN and Very Family Oriented along with wholesome values being put in place! Good Job.My kids are Teens...17,14 and 13...we all went to 2 Youth League Football games on Saturday then went to my Girlfriends house after to celebrate BOTH of our girls' Birthdays. My Taylors 13th B-day was September 10th and Her Taylors 14th B-day was Sept. 11 and we always celebrate them together...after that we came home and the kids all had friends sleep-over...Right Now we are all Vegging in the front-room watching movies and enjoying a LAZY Sunday! I'm on the Computer...Obviously...LOL...Enjoy the rest of your day!~~Aloha~~
I had this Saturday off and my husband never works on Saturday so we could of had a family weekend but no! lol! My oldest 2 had friends come and sleep over Friday night. They were in thier rooms doing something while my husband cleaned (I no I was shocked) and I played with our youngest two! Saturday we got up and made pancakes then went to the park. We met the friends parents there and then went out for lunch. When we came home we had to clean up the house and the kids cleaned their rooms. Then everyone helped make dinner and after dinner we sat down and watched a movie. This morning we got up had cereal and went to church. After church the whole family went grocery shopping. We came home and had lunch. I put the 2 year old down for a nap and my husband is out playing with the older ones now. I am making dinner and while I am waiting for it to be done I am on Y/A and checking my mail. When I am done with this question I need to go wake my baby up and make sure everyone's rooms are still clean! Next weekend we are going to go to the mts! I am looking foward to it!
It's been really nice where we live. Yesterday I took my 3 little kids (3, 2, and 7 months) to a playgroup at the local playground, then we all ( Me, My husband, my step-daughter (15), and the three little kids) went to the doctor's to find out the sex of my baby (I'm 16 weeks pregnant), but they couldn't tell yet. :( After that we went home to take a nap. Then after their naps we went to a friend's 25th birthday party. By the time the party was over it was 9:00 and we were exhausted! Today we woke up early and we actually made it to church today! When we got back home I made our usual sunday brunch. Which is fun shaped pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs. Around 1:00 the little ones took a nap and I cleaned. When they woke up we baked some yummy cookies and decorated them.
I love the weekends!

So a busy weekend quite boring alot of hanging around with sick kids and crazy boys lol
someone likes to brag about herself...
We went to our annual church association. It is held daily and nightly outside under a large tent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We have a camper so we take it and stay instead of driving. Emma had a great time b/c she loves the attention she gets from everyone. Of course everyone makes over her and says how happy and pretty she is! I will have to say the 90 degree weather about did this pregnant mommy in!
I Hung out with my big sisters and brother. That's what I usually do on weekends. We got up on Saturday (my birthday!) and went to our local amusement park, pigged out on pizza and soda, and had lots of fun! Then we went out to eat with my parents. Then sunday was church and so we chilled at home.

Alright guy's i good good feed back for my workout but how bout my eating part of my diet.?
I usally try to go with the healthy choice or moderatly healthy choice, like today i had for breakfast 1 serving of pancakes with a little bit of syrup, and a nutriment shake so thats around 850 calories right their, for lunch at school i always get a can of diet coke and chicken ceaser wrap, 150-250 calories max, for dinner today i had like a peace of meat, around a size of a card deck, and about 3/4 a cup of egg noodles. then i went to the gym and did chest day, then i came home and had a piece of pumpkin pie, was this a pretty good eating plan for the day, cause i think it was pretty decent until the crappy piece of pie. I'm 210 at the moment and trying to get to 170 and im 5'10? howd i do today, also if u guys got tips on how i can stop craving for junk food like pie and sports shakes can u give them to me. Alright guy's i good good feed back for my workout but how bout my eating part of my diet.?
honestly u did not do well on ur eating im sorry but it wasnt good
the pancakes are crap anything w/ a combo of alot of fat and carbs is crap
plus u do not wanna eat more than 600cals in a meal if u are cutting weight and if u really wanna do it well u gotta have 5-6 mini meals making breakfast the largest and making each smaller as u get more into the day aim for .75g protein per lb u weigh a day also
so for u aim for 150g protien a day it helps alot
and to stop craving junk food try eating it in small incriments have a cheat day once a week and on that day have whatever ur craving but not too much of it or have substitues like instead of whole eggs have egg beaters or whole milk skim milk or double churn ice cream u know stuff like that
and as for workouts do u do cardio that is very helpful is weight loss not just weight lifting

What do you think of my story?
You might have heard of what I am, but if you haven’t I won’t tell you. You’ll have to figure out on your own. Everything that is in this story has happened but I changed the names for their safekeeping. If you doubt that this story is real then I’ll have to go where you live and bite you…………………but I’m joking about that. We are nice caring creatures … if you do nothing to us.
Chapter 1
It was 6:00 AM and I just woke up. I got out of bed and got what I always get, a bowl of Captain Crunch and a cup of water. Once I sat down on the chair to eat my cereal, I noticed that I looked sort of pale. I got up and went to the mirror to see if my whole body was pale, but there was something wrong. I wasn’t there. That’s just it. I couldn’t see myself in the mirror. As soon as I noticed that I wasn’t there, I ran to the computer to search the internet and see what was wrong with me. I couldn’t find anything so I went to the phone and started dialing my cousin’s number. While it was ringing, I started to think what I did last night to see if it had any effect on why I couldn’t see myself in the mirror. When my cousin picked up the phone I told him what was wrong and he told me what the cause was. I asked how he knew, but when he told me the answer I was shocked and I almost dropped the phone.
He said,” Chris you are a vampire and so am I. We are both over two thousand years old. Remember we were the ones who killed Julius Ceaser. You even killed King Arthur. Don’t you remember any of that?”
I responded with no.
He said,” Hmmmm........ Well maybe you lost part of your memory when we went into hibernation. So since you lost part of it I guess that you forgot how to climb walls, not be seen in the night, move fast, and not be seen in the mirror. But that you just remembered how to do and if you don’t know, you do it when you’ve just eaten, but you could eat anything to do it. It works from little food like crumbs to big foods like a feast.”
I was confused, but I replied, “Well I was eating my favorite cereal…… Oh, so that is why I couldn’t see myself in the mirror, I was eating my favorite cereal.”
“Well you can come over and I’ll refresh your memory.”
So as I hang up the phone I picked up my bike helmet and got my bike to start the ride down the street to my cousin’s house. I got off my bike and knocked on the door. It took a few minutes for him to open the door because he puts so many locks on it for whatever reason.
“Hey Chris, ready for the re-learning?” He said.
I nodded for a reply, but I was lying. It was all coming at me too fast and I was too confused.
As we sat down on the couch I asked him if he could start by telling me how many people I killed and who they were. I was surprised that it took him an hour to tell me all the names. Then after the very long hour, I asked him if he could tell me who my real family was, but he didn’t know either. All he knew was that adult vampires took us in and that he was my brother.
“Hey, I almost forgot, we have to go now,” He said
“Why?” I asked
“To school, duh!!” He yelled
“But where is school?”
“You’ll find out in a few minutes. Come on, we’re going in my Lamborghini” He said happily.
“Wait, how come you have a car?”
“Because, we are over 2,000 years old!”
When we got to the Lamborghini, he told me, “Hey, if you see me at school, feel free to come over and ask me anything that you need help with. I know your classes, and besides school just started a week ago and they let you come a month after school starts because the first few weeks are just about what vampires should and shouldn’t do. Then it’s just history, P.E., and all the other crap. Oh, and …………um, nah I’ll tell you later, but I’m jealous of you because of it.”
As we went to school, I was still confused because it was 4:00 in the afternoon. I started thinking what school would be like and what he was going to tell me. Then I started to think about my human friends. I asked,”Hey, Dylan. Would I be able to change my human friends into vampires too?”
“Yes, but you have to be at least a junior or higher to do it, otherwise they will die during the change. So I wouldn’t try it if I were you,” He replied.
“What about what vampires should and shouldn’t do. Don’t I need to know that?”
“Yes, you can look at my notes, or you can look at the school website. They always keep them up in the “Rules” section, so you can look there."
As we pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that it was just a lot for an abandoned movie theater, but it was packed. It was as big as a football stadium and there were cars in every slot. I was amazed at how many cars were which meant that there were a lot of vampires going to school at just this one school.
When we got inside the building, the inside was nothing like the outside. The outside was dark and dull, but the inside was bright and colorful, but it had a lot of black and red.
“Not what you expected right, Chris?” Dylan asked.
“No,” I reWhat do you think of my story?
some got cut off so i didn't get to read the whole thing. i thought it was pretty good but if you want to get it published it might be hard because so many vampire stories are being sent in.

You should find out how many calories your body burns just being alive daily, then you should stop eating carbs of any kind before you go to bed, then you should seriously look into enjoying a cheese burger once in a while, and visit your guidance councilor about anorexia because your father and I are worried. Will I gain weight fromthis?
That is NOT too much food! (People that think it is probably believe a Whopper meal at Burger King, super sized with a coke is not enough.) I think you are doing a great job...though I would cut out ANY juices, such as the "roaring waters" capri sun - that right there would cut you back at least 300 calories. Besides, H2O is much better for you anyways. If you are active, then stick with your plan right here. If you are not, cut back to 1200 - 1400 calories. Will I gain weight fromthis?
wow you eat a lot compared to me, i thought your lunch was dinner and id finished reading but i hadnt :P
i think that's a little too much to be honest.
i weigh 106 lbs and im 5'4 but this is what my food intake consists of generally:
breakfast: bowl of wholegrain cereal
lunch: bread roll with banana
dinner: some pasta with a side of mixed green vegetables
dessert: 1/2 chocolate bar and some fruit salad.
i wish i could eat as much as you and not put on weight but its impossible, maybe you have a fast metabolism because you're not overweight.

Which Beowulf movie is the most acurate and follows the Novel the closest?
ok so i do alot better learning
with visual perception
and i've started reading a little bit of Beowulf
and it's really just words to me
When i had to read julius ceaser
i got the movie that closely followed the book
and i understood it alot better
than when i just read it
i really need the movie Beowulf
to help me understand the book
but i need one that follows the book fairly closly
that's fairly easy to understand
and that doesnt cut out a ton of the book
thankyou for the help =]Which Beowulf movie is the most acurate and follows the Novel the closest?
They have not made a movie yet that follows the epic poem of Beowulf accurately. Read the poem in modern English and speak to an instructor about it and where you are having problems with it. It really is a great story - I read it in both Old English and modern English.
SACWhich Beowulf movie is the most acurate and follows the Novel the closest?
Haven't seen any other Beowulf movie besides the most recent computer-animated one but i know that one is NOT the most accurate. For instance, the conflict between Beowulf %26amp; Grendel lasts for a looooooooooong time while the movie only portrays it lasting one night.Which Beowulf movie is the most acurate and follows the Novel the closest?
I dont know.. but ill update once im done thinking back...........Which Beowulf movie is the most acurate and follows the Novel the closest?
I have seen 2 or 3 movies versions of Beowulf, as well as read the poem 6 or 7 times, and none of the movies come anywhere close to the actual plot of the story. You might be better off with spark notes or something like that, or even an audio book to listen to while you follow along. Reading aloud really helps when you are having trouble understanding something, even more than you would think. But, not only do none of the movies follow the plot very well, but they were also terrible movies, particularly the most recent one. Good luck though, Beowulf is a great story.

Salad after playing basketball for 3-4 hrs bad or good?
i always heard to eat protein after a workout. but all i did was play basketball which is more cardio cuz we were playing full court and i ran up and down a LOT! didnt lift any weights. i just ate one ceaser salad w/ lil dressing and croutons. not on a diet but i do have a little tummy i just want to have a 6pack or at least some definition of abs. i was thinking maybe a bowl of caeser salad %26amp; 1 hot dog? would that b good for recovering from playin bball for 3-4 hrs? and why?Salad after playing basketball for 3-4 hrs bad or good?
you don't have to eat protein specifically after a workout. as long as you eat enough so that you don't feel like you'll pass out. hot dogs are really unhealthy with all their fillers, you'd be better off with a lean cut of meat e.g. steak, chicken breast, etc.Salad after playing basketball for 3-4 hrs bad or good?
no hot dog, how about an apple and a banana insteadSalad after playing basketball for 3-4 hrs bad or good?

Is this a healthy lunch and breakfast for tomorrow?
I'm trying to become a little leaner and lose a little weight. but i'm having a hard time with figuring out what to eat, because everytime I think I eat something healthy, some one tells me to cut that out of my diet. Like 12 grain whole wheat bread, flavored oatmeal, honey nut/regular cherrios. I don't get why I should cut them out.
is this a good breakfast and lunch plan for tomorrow?
Breakfast- 1 peice of toast with some peanut butter on it, and maybe a glass of orange juice [i'm concerned about the sugar? 22g? 110 cal.] I don't have a lot of time to prepare/eat a breakfast. i get ready and am out the door.
Lunch- An apple, a banana, a bag of celery, a salad with a sprinkle of bacon bits with fat free ceaser italian dressing and a cup of non fat light yogurt [90cal.]
I know it lacks protein, but i don't have any good protein at my house! That's why i choose peanut butter for on my toast. Is this a healthy lunch and breakfast for tomorrow?
YEAH IT IS NOT THAT MUCH PEANUT BUT THE REST YEA IT IS A REALLY HEALTHY BREAKFAST AND LUNCH.Is this a healthy lunch and breakfast for tomorrow?
yeah its pretty good. but for breakfast, you should eat more because if you eat too much at night, thats how you gain so much weight. if you eat a lot of breakfast and cut down on the dinner, then itd be burnt off already at the end of the day.Is this a healthy lunch and breakfast for tomorrow?
Well, that's not much food and you do need the protein. I hope you're getting it at night. Peanut butter is fine, but it is an "incomplete" source of protein. Animal protein is complete, meaning it has all the essential amino acids you need. Very important!
The orange juice is fine and sounds like you need the calories for energy. I don't know how large your are, but a normally active, growing teen should be eating no less than 1800/day when trying to lose weight.
Good luck.

How to eat healthy at my freinds house?
Well today I am going to my freinds house for dinner and she is serving pasta with sauce (idk what kind-possibly tomato) and caesat salad with cider. This doesnt so much of a healthy dinner so Im just a little concerned on how to eat healthily.
Im asking because I attended a Christmas party yesterday and I had all kind of junk food there like salami slices, lots of cheese and even peanute butter cookies! at least they were organic, lol. I ate so many cookies there Im sick even thinking about it. I dont eat like this, I usually eat really healtthy like organic goods and little but processed goods and save my proteins for the night and carbs for the morning...that kind of stuff. But last night was...a mistake.
So Im kinda nervous because I know pasta and caeser salad isnt the best and I dont want to ruin my health or routine. I just dont want to gain weight from eating bad for two days straight. I ofcourse watch my proteion sizes there but how to do it without making it look like I dont like there food even if I do!
(plan is to just eat a few bites to a cup of pasta, 1 cup of ceaser and water instead of cider)How to eat healthy at my freinds house?
Pasta with tomato sauce is actually healthy. It would be better to have whole grain noodles...but not a biggie. The salad dressing is the unhealthy part. Just eat a small portion. Two days of eating bad is not going to lead to a heart attack. Why do you save proteins for night? Going to bed on a stomach full of heavy food usually isn't a good idea. And just because something is organic does NOT mean its healthy. You can eat bad foods in moderation as long as you watch your caloric and fat intake. How to eat healthy at my freinds house?
well, take the time you have now to exercise right now, you'll be burning off calories that you've consumed yesterday off or that you will consume, ask for salad and just maybe 10 pieces of pasta, no cheese, caeser salads not the healthiest so try and wipe off the most sauce as you can.. drink plenty waterHow to eat healthy at my freinds house?
dont be a pussy, if you eat healthy all the time, 2 days wont hurt you. caesar salad is healthy just add not dressing or cheese, eat a little bit of past and just mainly eat the meatballshaynes repair manual

Help create a diet and exercise plan?
Well, I'm 13 years old, and would like to start watching what I eat, and making sure I stay thin, and fit. I weigh about 96-97 pounds. My BMI (Around 18.30) is right in the center for my height, which is 5 ft 1 in.
I ate too much crap today and feel gross about it.
Here's what I normally eat:
Breakfast:
Bowl of cereal. Either Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds, or Honey Nut Cheerios.
10:15 ish snack:
An apple.
(This just started recently. I figured a good fruit would be a good idea for a snack to hold me over.)
Lunch:
A sandwich.
Small bag of something salty.
Sometimes a 100 calorie bag of something sweet.
Fruit (Usually grapes or plum)
Then a snapple or water.
(My lunch is pretty big.... I'm actually going to change it to a ceaser salad and some other things.?)
Afternoon snack:
A cup or pretzels or fruit (Depends if I want something sweet or salty)
Dinner:
Well this changes a lot so...
After dinner:
I always have a mug full of low fat vanilla frozen yogurt topped with some chocolate.
Haha. I know I eat a lot of crap but you know..
So, help me with a new kind of diet.
Also, what kind of exercises are good for all over weight loss?
I just want to be pretty slim and feel healthy.
I want target the upper thighs. And also create one of those little indents on the stomach. I have a small one, but a bigger one would be nice.
The only exercise I'm currently doing (This school year..) is a dance class once a week. It's hip hop. But for the first half hour we do a lot of warming up. LOTS of sit ups and push ups.
Then I take P.E. I'm pretty athletic, so I do well in class.
I'm planning on taking up basketball and softball again (I did both last year and before) next year. Along with more dance classes.
Haha, and I play on the Wii Fit a lot. Hahaha:)
So, what kind of diet should I have, and what are some good exercises? I feel uncomfortable talking about this with my mom and stuff because she thinks I'm so skinny already. I mean, I'm not fat, I just want to be more healthy and a little skinnier.
Don't say go to the gym, because I'm not old enough yet, but I do plan on going often when I am old enough.
And, also, I'm a partial vegetarian. (I'm forced to eat chicken and fish. Haha.) But I don't eat red meat or pork or anything.
Thanks!Help create a diet and exercise plan?
your 13 weighing 97lbs. dont worry about it yet. go start running outside your neighborhood. of course take an adult with you or a friend. having a companion makes it easier.
count calories. the best website to go is
www.sparkpeople.com you get all supports and motivations there. plus they have calorie counter that helps you. its a bit fancy acutally.

Breakfast and lunch? please help!?
That's why i choose peanut butter for on my toastBreakfast and lunch? please help!?
i was totally answering your other question and then you deleted it.
it was a really long one too but i cant be bothered writing it all again so ill just sum it up
the more natural the better
when they say fat free
it means they've loaded up on other things like sugar and preservatives - this includes the dressing and yoghurt
your better off going for the full versions because they have less crap in them.
bread is good for you, as long as it isnt white, and your exercising, you can eat bread.
try to swap the pj for jam.
and eat more eggs, meat and fish. if you dont want to eat those you'll need to start taking protein tablets and iron too, or eat baked beans.
just remember the more natural the better. no matter what it says about fat free blah blah.Breakfast and lunch? please help!?
Sounds good to me. Don't worry about the sugar in the juice; it's the same amount of sugar you'd be ingesting if you ate an orange, so what's the big deal? Assuming that it's not from concentrate.
I don't know the brand but I know that there's a company that makes pre-cubed meat for salads. Try putting that in your salad. Easy and quick.Breakfast and lunch? please help!?
do you eat eggs? I would hard boil a half dozen eggs and add one to each of your lunches. Protein will satisfy hunger longer than the simple sugars you're eating.
Also, I would drop the orange juice in lieu of an orange. A cup of orange juice is equivalent to three oranges. One option I have used if you can stomach it (I have developed a taste for it) is to dilute your orange juice (one third orange juice and two thirds water).
Also: how much water are you drinking? How much dairy? a cup of low fat milk would be a great thing to add to the breakfast as well.
good luck!Breakfast and lunch? please help!?
Well as far as tomorrow goes I'm not sure what you have to choose from but, I lost a lot of weight and I mean a lot by eating :
Breakfast : fruit and drinking fruit juices - A great way to start your day it cleanses the body.
Lunch : I would pack a lunch box with some slices of tomatoes, cucumber, radishes, and a few slices of sliced deli turkey. Then what I considered a treat at lunch was a few small slices of hot pepper cheese and slices of green pepper.
Afternoon snack : small can of V8 juice.
Dinner: chef salad or salad with what ever I wanted in it.
I never ate red meat. I don't know about you but as far as red meat goes it really put pounds on me. I drove by a herd of cows one day and gained 3 pounds.
I always ate turkey or chicken for meat.
Snacks : Try baked Tostitos chips and salsa.
Now for a real sweet treat try cinnamon gram crackers with low fat cool whip on them.
I lost 90 lbs over a year eating what I have just described and was never hungry.
I don't care what anyone says the key to loosing weight is burn more calories than you take in in a day's time.
Twenty minutes of aerobic exercise a day increases your rate of metabolism ( The rate at which your body burns calories ) 80% !!! That's a bunch.
I also lifted weights some days but that was just something I wanted to do.
The things I listed was the things I liked to eat. You need to just do some research on your own and find what you like to eat and what works for you.
Good Luck, you can do it !

My 7 mth old dog is constipated, what to do?
My 7 months old Shitzu is becoming REALLY constipated. He tries VERY hard to go, but CANT ! And he makes a weird sound when trying. I feed him Ceaser, which is a soft canned food, and i feed him dry food, for little dogs. A couple weekends ago, my grandparents were feeding him alot of human food. which i know is NOT AT ALL good for the dogs system. So when i got back home, i was only feeding him dog food. Trying to flush the human food out of him. I NEED help softening up his bowels, with things around my house. Or if i need to buy a medication from some kind of pet store, what are a few names? If anyone has tips, i would greatly appriciate it . thanks =)My 7 mth old dog is constipated, what to do?
You can also try a tablespoon full of canned pumpkin, plain, no spices. But if he's still constipated tomorrow, he needs to vet to find out why. He could have an obstruction.
And by the way, human food isn't bad for a dog's system if its the right kind of food. What in the world do you think dogs ate before commercial dog food? And it sure wouldn't constipate him if your grandparents gave him anything not good for him - he'd have diarrhea. My 7 mth old dog is constipated, what to do?
This is going to get a lot of thumbs down (esp. from me), but I've heard it recommended by someone famous - give the dog a baby-size glycerine suppository or a Pedialax syringe. In that small dose it's no riskier than it would be for a human, and just as effective.
Quick relief for a shihtzu who can't do a s hi t [sorry, couldn't resist!].My 7 mth old dog is constipated, what to do?

Do you hate Chainmail?
Hello, my name is Basmati Kasaar. I am suffering from rare and deadly diseases, poor scores on final exams, extreme virginity, fear of being kidnapped and executed by anal electrocution, and guilt for not forwarding out 50 billion ******* chain letters sent to me by people who actually believe that if you send them on, then that poor ******* 6 year old girl in Arkansas with a breast on her forehead will be able to raise enough money to have it removed before her redneck parents sell her off to the traveling freak show.
Do you honestly believe that Bill Gates is going to give you and everyone you send his email to $1000? How stupid are you? Ooooh, looky here! If I scroll down this page and make a wish, I'll get laid by every Playboy Bunny in the magazine! What a bunch of ******* bullshit.
So basically, this message is a big **** YOU to all the people out there who have nothing better to do than to send me stupid chain mail forwards. Maybe the evil chain letter leprechauns will come into my apartment and sodomize me in my sleep for not continuing the chain which was started by Ceaser in 5 A.D. and was brought to this country by midget pilgrims on the Mayflower and if it makes it to the year 2000, it'll be in the Guinness Book of World Records for longest continuous streak of blatant stupidity. **** them!
If you're going to forward something, at least send me something mildly ******* amusing. I've seen all the 'send this to 50 of your closest friends, and this poor, wretched excuse for a human being will somehow receive a Nickel from some omniscient being' forwards about 90 times. I don't ******* care. Show a little intelligence and think about what you're actually contributing to by sending out forwards. Chances are it's your own unpopularity.

Good Breeder? My visit to the breeders kennel?
Ok so this is my visit to a breeder I found:
We drove down to the breeder's place. It was a large kennel (an inside kennel, like u see at boarding kennels ) that was based around a small field. I think the breeder was running this as a business or something. She was really nice and professional. When we got there I saw her outside with about 10 shih tzu adults walking along side her, no barking , no bad behavior. It was a bit like how Ceaser Millan's pack follow him around LOL. We walked to the gate and she greeted us with all the dogs sniffing us curiously :). She pointed out the Mom and Dad who looked clean, healthy and happy and friendly.
We walked into the house and i caught a whiff of something, not poo but i quess it was the dogs. She showed us her license that she got from the concil and showed us the paperwork we'd get with the puppy.
Next we went to look at the puppy. It was apart the bulidling that had three separate kennels ( no huge and not too small for them). One had a lab in it who was nursing two young pups and next to it was the sweet little angels. 4 gorgeous little girls. At first they were shy but quite curious and they had just eaten so they were tired. The breeder , me and my mom sat inside with the puppies who were eagerly scampering around. the place where they were was not extremely dirty but a little messy ( no leavings on the floor) .the puppys seemed to be drinking out of a foundation type thing and that was pretty clean too. The puppys were 8 weeks btw!. We asked her a few question and she was happy to answer them.
She was correct about health issues and that shih tzus are generaly healthy dogs. She gave us lots of tips too.
The thing im worried about is if the pups were socialized well. She said that she lived in a small house so she couldn't take all the puppys home with her.
I picked out the puppy I liked. She was alert , clean and had no signs of illness. The pupz have been wormed and vacc. We get six weeks insurance, a puppy pack, a starter food pack and there's a 7 day refund.
This is the description on her ad:
Beautiful balls of fluff and fun. Pedigree Shih-tzu's. Not KC Registered. These puppies have been ethically produced and raised by a registered approved breeder with 30 years breed experience. They maybe viewed with both parents whom have fantastic temperaments. They are sold with a comprehensive package which includes : Three generation pedigree, puppy information sheet, starter feed pack, six weeks free insurance, vaccination and cert, and a 7 day full money refund guarantee in writing for any health issues subject to conditions. All puppies have been wormed and frontlined to date. Please note: As responsible registered breeders we do not, Offer puppies for re sale to the pet shop trade, except payment through the post, export, or deliver, so please don't ask. All prospective customers are asked to visit our premises in person for mutual approval.
I'll be picking her up on Sat :)
Sorry that this was so long .lol
Tell me what you think!
x Thanks :)Good Breeder? My visit to the breeders kennel?
There are two things that I would consider a red flag: Why aren't they KC registered if she can provide a 3 generation pedigree? If you are purchasing a purebred dog, you are entitled to the KC papers as PROOF of it being purebred. She may be providing you with a *hand written* pedigree, but she could write anything. If you had the KC papers, you would have the registration #'s of the parents, that could be traced through the KC. Now for the second thing: She gives a 7 day full money refund guarantee, BUT, that is subject fo conditions. Soooo, what are those conditions? She doesn't state what they are, so I guess she can make up whatever she wants to if something were to come up. Also, 7 days is NOTHING, since most *puppy health issues* take 10-14 days to show up......such as Parvo. All may look good on the outside, but, there are a few things that smell very fishy to me. You asked, so I told you my opinion.Good Breeder? My visit to the breeders kennel?
It is a puppy farm! albeit not one of the really nasty ones. Please don't line the pockets of a puppy-farmer. This person is breeding dogs as a cash-crop, not for the love and advancement of the breed. Her dogs are unshowable which means that she will not feel the need the to choose her breeding dogs carefully and your new pup could end up with very poor health and may not look like the breed standard. For a very similiar price you could probably by a pup from a good breeder who has beautiful and health-checked KC reg dogs, or even better, you could rescue a dog who really needs a good home.
There are many dog-lovers in Britain who are working hard to end the puppy-farming business, the puppy-farmers and back-yard breeders have created a heart-breaking problem of dog-overpopulation which inevitably leads to thousands of homeless dogs and the death of dogs whose only crime was to be born to make money for their breeder. Good breeders never breed for profit, they only breed to improve their breed and will sell those they won't keep to good homes.

They're responsible, registered breeders and yet they don't register their litters? Sorry, that sounds like a serious case of bad breeding.
I don't care how well they treat their dogs, if they can't get appropriate testing for their adults, get them CH, register the litters, socialize them properly, and send them off with a lifetime health guarantee, they are scummy.
And what does a three generation pedigree mean?Good Breeder? My visit to the breeders kennel?
Not KC registered?
Dont do it. This shows she isn't reputable.
Cavalier Gal.
Red Flags
-Not registered
-Small breed pups going home before 12 weeks
-No guarantee against genetic issues.
-No mention of her actually showing you that the parents had had the proper genetic clearances done for their breed.
-No mention that the dogs are being shown.
-No mention of WHY the pups won't be KC reg'd
Personally I would be looking elsewhere.Good Breeder? My visit to the breeders kennel?
Sounds like a good breeder to me but has she done any genetic health testing on the dogs before breeding them? She should be showing certificates of both her Dam %26amp; Sire's genetic tests. If she has then this breeder is definitely recommended but though I would say, there are better breeders out there...
ADD: Oh wait! No "KC" means not AKC registered? Oh, if not then don't buy from her because your pup will be known as a mixed breed. There's nothing to prove that she is a Pedigree. And if her dogs are not registered as well, then how is she going to show their 3 generation Pedigree?
Why buy a registered puppy?

Why are the pups not registered with a legit kennel club? That raises a big red flag. Perhaps the "breeder" has done something illegal and is banned from registering the pup? Something isn't right here. I think that I'd move down the road and find a breeder who has registered dogs.
My criteria is very simple. *What else do they do with their dogs besides breed them*? If all they do is breed then it isn't a place that I would want to get a pup. If they are not showing them, working them, hunting with them, or doing something, ANYTHING ! ! !, then they are just a "Greeder" and not a breeder.
"not KC registered" is a red flag.
i wouldn't do it.
I wouldn't touch UN-REGISTERABLE CRAP made by BYBs!!!!
Nope - sounds like a commercial breeder out for profit. Would RUN away, not walk.
Here's why:
1) Kennel - responsible breeders keep their dogs WITH them in the home to monitor and work with them from day one. IF the pups are raised in a KENNEL then they have NO experience in the home - meaning you will have a nervous, fearful mess of a dog when you bring it home.
2) The simple fact she can't take the pups home because there are "too many". Reputable breeders have 1-2 litters at a time to properly care for and work with them - 3-4 per YEAR.
3) No AKC registration. Means neither parent are show quality dogs and are probably from scummy breeders themselves. Means no standard, which can make some physical issues worse (such and jaw structure, breathing problems, skin, etc) OR are from good ones and this person is disregarding the spay/neuter policy ALL reputable bred dogs come with if they are not show quality.
4) No mention of genetic testing OR guarantee against genetic diseases (should be four year minimum as they cannot be tested until two years of age, with life being preferred.)mbusa

They maybe viewed with both parents whom have fantastic temperaments.
