Thanks for your comments guys, just a response to those who have already answered. Sassy (The lab) her legs and back end are week because of the mix breed. Last night they had a fight and even sassy was shaken, mum threw cold water over them and they stopped, but still tried to get back at one another, i don't understand it all at night, Sassy and elsa curl up together but as soon as we get the leads out for the walks they start and sometimes, its over nothing at all. They do fight for dominance, but niether will step down. My mum is pack leader and often watches ceaser milan on The Dog Whisperer. Some of his techniques have helped a little. But some of the fightgs are so nasty mum just can't get involved...The lab agression again.?

Hate to tell you that this is going to keep happening until someone (you) takes control of the situation and FIRMLY asserts themselves as pack leader...these dogs do not respect you/your family, hence the fighting and dominating.
