When i had to read julius ceaser

i got the movie that closely followed the book

and i understood it alot better

than when i just read it

i really need the movie Beowulf

to help me understand the book

but i need one that follows the book fairly closly

that's fairly easy to understand

and that doesnt cut out a ton of the book

thankyou for the help =]Which Beowulf movie is the most acurate and follows the Novel the closest?
They have not made a movie yet that follows the epic poem of Beowulf accurately. Read the poem in modern English and speak to an instructor about it and where you are having problems with it. It really is a great story - I read it in both Old English and modern English.

Haven't seen any other Beowulf movie besides the most recent computer-animated one but i know that one is NOT the most accurate. For instance, the conflict between Beowulf %26amp; Grendel lasts for a looooooooooong time while the movie only portrays it lasting one night.Which Beowulf movie is the most acurate and follows the Novel the closest?
I dont know.. but ill update once im done thinking back...........Which Beowulf movie is the most acurate and follows the Novel the closest?
I have seen 2 or 3 movies versions of Beowulf, as well as read the poem 6 or 7 times, and none of the movies come anywhere close to the actual plot of the story. You might be better off with spark notes or something like that, or even an audio book to listen to while you follow along. Reading aloud really helps when you are having trouble understanding something, even more than you would think. But, not only do none of the movies follow the plot very well, but they were also terrible movies, particularly the most recent one. Good luck though, Beowulf is a great story.
