now, the vets have told me to feed my chi a very little amount every3-4 hours... how long do i have to do this for, until he is what age? Is a can of ceaser a day too much cos hes so small... help ! How much to feed my chihuahua?
hi, chihuahuas are wonderful little dogs, i have many, and they all eat a different amount. How old is your chihuahua, was there a reason why you was told 3-4 hours, from that i am assumeing you have a puppy, and then yes little and often is a good way to go. I would feed him about 2 table spoons of food each time, he will either eat all or not so much so then you can vary the amount. I personnaly feed all my chis on boiled chicken and rice , in the evening, and they have royal cain light for breakfast one day and t/d (a dental food) the other day. Depending on the age of your chi, will change the amount he will need, until he reasches such an age. I always fed chicken for my pups for breakfast and leave dried food down for them to eat as and when and then finish with chicken in the evening. You mention you are feeding on tin ceaser, and ask if one tin is ok, this again depends on chis age and if you are buying the small tin of ceasar or the large tin. I shouldnt worry to much if you are over or under feeding him, you will soon see how much he needs. I am happy for you to email me when ever, via my 360 if you need any adive about your chi. Enjoy your dog, you will have such great times together. If you watch the link below you will see all my chis, ready for xmas, all the best MariaHow much to feed my chihuahua?
I would have a bowl down for her all day, it dont really matter if you put down to much as she will only eat what she needs, dogs dont tend to over eat on their own food. dont worry to much.
My dog never eats his own food he would rather wait till the kids drop a crisp lolHow much to feed my chihuahua?
depends on age of chi. ask your vet what he considers a small amount.
i would guess about a tablespoon at a time.
i feed dry food to my pap. she is two up to two feedings a day at 1/4 cup.
