Imran Khan, Muslims and their profit and what's offensive?

I don't know if anyone caught Imran Khan on a UK news programme banging on about how we don't realise how offensive it is to Muslims if people in the West say anything derogatory about the their 'profit' - well I don't think they understand how here in the West how little we care about religion PERIOD. We parody ALL religion even our own - e.g. Monty Python's Life of Brian which I think Adam Boulton - the interviewer on the programme mentioned.



In my humble the opinion the profit, Jesus Christ all these mythical people were just ordinary people who had the 'gift of the gab' and were preaching to very simple people that would lap it up as the saying goes 'hook, line and sinker'!



The problem is nowadays we're not so gullible - we are a lot more sophisticated than we were thousands of years ago and are not going to be hoodwinked by the same bull as we were before. A famous speech from Julius Ceaser springs to mind:-

Yes, yes. I agree they should take a lighter line, but the Blasphemy laws here in the UK have only been ignored and revoked in living memory.



The problem is more like that they are still mentally living in in the 16th Century and not the 19th like what we are.

I can't think of any other prophet who died for people. Heck, why would you get your back torn open, your lung pierced, your bones slowly ripped apart, and your heart dislocated for a bunch of loonies who don't give a crap?
