How can I lose 30 pounds without running?

Okay, I know 30 pounds is a lot. And I HATE jogging/running. Plus, it's getting cold outside and running in the cold is even harder for me because I find it harder to breathe. (Minor case of asthma.) Any exercises I can do inside and still lose weight? I normally eat salad with water and a little ceaser (sp?) dressing. What should I eat for dinner? I don't like snacks, because then I eat less at dinner and then I get hungry at night which is really bad. I have strength %26amp; conditioning (weight lifting) every other day at my school, so with doing that every other day, what exercises can I do to lose a TON of weight?

My mom lost at least 20 pounds by walking a LOT. So I'm sure it's possible.

swimming is awesome, if swimming is inconvenient try just walking for a couple miles and drink plenty of water, also bike riding and make sure you get plenty of rest.

You're going to need a good quality exercise bike, or a strider, and spend at least 45 minutes, maybe 5 X 9 minute bursts on it per day. Maybe you could do 3 slow and steady 15 minute reps. I know it's hard.



I don't like telling people what to eat, I focus on curing illness with pharmaceuticals, because that's my education. However, base your dinners around 3 - 4 ounces of poached salmon, lean boneless chicken, well-boiled ham (removing some of the sodium glutamates and fat), filet of sole, tofu or a veggie burger patty. Find other lean variations of meat and substitutes.



Choose you own vegetables, the list can go on forever - get 4 - 5 servings per day, or V-8, Mott's etc. Take a little ginger, can be boiled in water like tea, or something to boost your metabolism, and use antioxidants (grapes, cranberry, all-natural no sugar), or natural fibres and probiotics included with yogurt.



You want to keep the Omega 3's going into your brain, and take an extra multi vitamin, but what you want is the B complex, especially B-12, D and iron. Girls lose too much iron once a month.



So exercise and don't starve, or your body will go into fat conservation mode. Avoid sodas and coffee too. The sugar becomes alcohol, and caffeine messes with your heart rhythm.

If you consume less calories than your body burns off a day you'll lose weight. %26amp; unfortunately eating a small snack every hour is the best way to do it. Keeping your metabolism running will prove very effective. And as long as your not sitting on the couch all day you may be successful.
