CA Welfare System?

The welfare recipents now receive a welfare card that is like a credit card rather than the old booklet of stamps. I believe so much is a lotted for purchase of food. My Question: Can they use it at Little Ceasers to buy the $5 pizza? Is it like an ATM or can be used at those purchase type of machines?



I'm just curious mostly.

No, you cannot purchase food from restaurants or fast food. Grocery stores depending on where you go and how they ring you up, may allow you to purchase from their deli were they make a sandwich for you. My friend works as a case worker for welfare recipients and gets pretty fired up when she has to help those who she knows abuses the system, or rather those who rather spend all their money on drugs, but they are unable to prove it.CA Welfare System?

no you cant buy prepared foods........you have to use it at grocery stores, and convience stores.
