Whats wrong with todays generation?

i noticed that as i go through life that as i talk to todays generation, i came to realize that compared to when i was growin up in the late 80s-early 90's, we seemed that we knew about more of what was goin on in the world and who certain people were that everyone knew. It seems now thats not neccesarliy true..... ive talked to people around 18-22 years old and think they lack total common sense and have no idea about common wordly things that we used know when my generation was like 13..... Im amazed at the lack of knowledge of this generation. For example, me and a frien ordered chicken wings from a girl about 18-21 years workin at little ceasers pizza and asked for a side of blue cheese and she didnt even know what blue cheese was. Me and ,y friend wer like.."WOW!" and she said something like it wasnt a crime that she didnt know what blue cheese was...i think it was...hehehe. but seriously, i knew what it was when i was like 7 years old and so did my friends... Why are todays young people sooooooooooo clueless bout "stuuf" that my generation knew at a much younger age?

My roomate is 19 and said he never heard of charles manson or wilt chamberlain.. AMAZING! i knew who these peole were when i was in junior high school. And this LAPD young asian cop about 20 something or maybe early 30's said after i asked him about frank sinatra that he didnt know who he was but siad he "heard' of him. I was like dumbfounded, and when he left i said "Bye Frank" and he looked back and chuckled. But still, how can u not know who charles manson is or waht blue cheese is? it something very small but so common, how can u not know..if they dont kno something so common about simple things ,I really wonder......Oh by the way, i graduated in 1989 and we were the original MTV generation when MTV was good and followed current stuff as well as other things around us, We wernt as clueless or oblivious as todays generation. I just wonder y, thats all. please tell me y this generation is more clueless and oblivious than we were..... Its frightning to know that this the future that will in powerWhats wrong with todays generation?
Everything. Everything is wrong. I'm absolutely ashamed to have to say that I'm a teenager. Everybody nowadays just has no common sense and they have no idea what things are and they don't read newspapers or just call rather than text on their telephones or cell phones or whatever. And a person who doesn't know what blue cheese is is probably just mental. That's plain ridiculous. I've known what it was since I was five. I know who charles manson and wilt chamberlain are and I love frank sinatra!! He's the most amazing singer to ever live, in my opinion. Just an opinion.



And uh, I'm 15. People my age say things like "sooooooooooooooo", use "y" rather than "why", and type with multiple elipses along with making sentences lacking in punctuation. You have done every single one of those things. I'm starting to question your age here.Whats wrong with todays generation?
Lol. It's funny that you mention Charlie Manson and Frank Sinatra in the same question...Charlie and his main girls wanted to skin Frank Sinatra alive while he listens to his own music and then make purses out of his skin to sell to hippie shops. Anyway, i completely agree with you.

Nothing... Every generation has flaws including yours.... you grew up during the Crack Epidemic... and the Teen Pregnancy rate was much higher back then.

They aren't clueless and it's easier for them to keep up with time as they have internet. But i do agree MTV must have been better then, they even allowed NWA on MTV i've heard.

Some people are just not interested in a lot of unnecessary bullsh!t clogging up their minds. That's why they have people specialized in certain areas, like doctors and etc. People have to focus on what ia important to them or for them. Focus on the rest if you have time on your hands.
I'm sure the generations coming won't know much about what is current today like the recession, George Bush, Miley Cyrus,schizo greyhound bus killer, Justin Bieber, Barack Obama, 9/11 (unless in History class), etc. Are they all going to be dumb? My 56 year old Science teacher never knew what blue cheese was either until a few years ago, so that was not the best example. Your generation also didn't grow up with internet, wait, I mean The Google on the little Computron. Yes, MTV sucks, oh well. You shouldn't rely on television, it shouldn't give you all the current news. Read the newspaper.
