I know I just asked this same question but now I looked and its called classic ceaser dressing and it does say it contained egg yolks. This was a salad I bought in the store and it had a little cup of ceaser salad dressing in with it. Since it was store bought do you think it is pasturized?I ate classic ceasar salad dressing and I am a month pregnant?
one meal with possibly non-pasteurized dressing is not going to do you or your baby any harm.I ate classic ceasar salad dressing and I am a month pregnant?
Honestly, it might be or it might not be pasturized, but it doesn't matter. They tell you to avoid things like raw meat, cold cuts and un-pasturized stuff during pregnancy because there is a chance of them carrying bacteria. Normally, the bacteria would just make you sick for a day and you'd be fine - but it's extremely dangerous to a fetus.
However, the chances of actually getting contaminated food is very low. So if you don't have food poisoning, you're fine. I didn't know about all the stuff I wasn't supposed to eat until I was like 6 months pregnant - and cold cuts and un-pasturized cheeses are a huge part of my normal diet. I now have a perfectly healthy 5 month old.
Is there anything on the packaging that says it is pasteurized? If you don't get sick...you're probably okay. Just avoid anything in the future that is not pasteurized (during pregnancy). It can cause an illness called listeriosis, which is basically a food borne illness. Most people are not severely affected by it, but for pregnant women it can be dangerous. It can cause pregnancy complications and miscarriage. Not trying to scare you, just something I learned from my doctor. What's strange is that I am on pregnancy number 6, and this time around is the first time I've ever heard of it.I ate classic ceasar salad dressing and I am a month pregnant?
you will be FINE and so will your baby! As your pregnancy progresses you will need to be really careful about these things but a month into it, your body won't be able to transfer anything to your baby yet. However, I have never heard about egg yolk being a problem for pregnant mothers as it is high in protein and good fats - what you need to steer clear of is deli products e.g. salami.
Most bottled salad dressings are pasteurized. Avoid home-made salad dressings, since they are not pasteurized. As a precaution (or for ease of mind), you may just want to avoid caesar salad dressing altogether. The risk is salemonella, which can be found in raw eggs.I ate classic ceasar salad dressing and I am a month pregnant?
Don't stress, it probably won't do anything...if you are that concerned make an appointment with your doctor to discuss it
Yes it should be pasteurized. And you should be fine... It's homemade Caesar Dressing that should be avoided during pregnancy.
You should be fine. One time wouldn't harm the baby. Just keep on eyes on what you do eat for now on.
YOUR KID IS FINE JUST DONT EAT IT AGAIN NOW THAT U KNOW IT'S NOT GOOD FOR THE BABY!
ye like its fine like stop being over cautious
i would say yes it is pasteurized, even if it wasn't there is only a little bit of yolk in it, don't worry you'll be fine :)
